How can we be sure Danepak bacon comes from Danish pigs?

Only Danish bred and reared pigs can be processed in Denmark, and there are regulations on identification and documentation of pig movements to ensure complete traceability. Also, most Danish pig farmers have long-term contracts with their abattoir.

All Danish pig meat can be traced back to a particular group of farms, whose pigs were processed at a specific abattoir on a certain day. Some can even be traced back to an individual farmer.
