Does Danepak bacon contain any additives?

We use nitrates and nitrites, which are an essential part of bacon production, and contribute to its characteristic flavour and colour. They also act as a preservative, helping to protect against bacteria such as salmonella and listeria. We follow EU regulations on permitted levels of these additives.
