Danish bacon is one of the first food products to be advertised on television. Stripbranding of Danish sides begins: “Good Bacon has Danish written all over it.” And by the 60s, bacon sales have boomed – consumption reaches 12kg per head. The Danepak brand is launched in 1961, and by the 1970s, Britain and Denmark have begun exporting bacon to Europe and Japan.
